Edward Albert was born in Los Angeles, California. He was an American film and television actor. He is best known for his work in the 1972 film Butterflies Are Free, in which he played a blind man, starring opposite Goldie Hawn. The performance earned him a Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Male Newcomer. In 1981, he starred opposite Ray Walston and Erin Moran in Roger Corman's cult SF horror film, Galaxy of Terror. In The Ice Runner, he played a betrayed and threatened agent arrested in Russia, who wants to escape from his prison. Albert attended Oxford University and studied psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles.
