Jerome Cady was born in Cabell County, West Virginia, USA. He was an American screenwriter. A native of West Virginia, he started as a newspaper copy boy. He was later a reporter with the Los Angeles Record. He joined 20th Century Fox in 1940, having previously been employed at RKO between radio jobs. He wrote several films include: Guadalcanal Diary, Forever Amber, Call Northside 777, and Wing and a Prayer ( Nominated- Oscar for Best Original Screenplay in 1944).
