James Kern Feibleman was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. He was an American novelist, poet, philosopher and writer. He taught English and philosophy at Tulane University from 1943 to 1977. He authored 39 books on subjects ranging from philosophy, sociology and psychology, to education and the arts. His first book, Death of God in Mexico, was published in 1931. He wrote other books include: Understanding Oriental Philosophy, Understanding Civilizations, Great April, Technology and Reality, Religious Platonism, A Future for Economics, and The Way of a Man(autobiography).
