Alice Abrams was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She earned a B.A. in Drama at Tufts University and a M.A. in Theatre Education at New York University. She taught creative dramatics to elementary school children for 6 years. She was introduced to clay in a weekly ceramics class at a local art center in 1970. The hobby grew into a passion which she has been pursuing since that time.
