Jo Nesbø was born in Oslo, Norway. He is a Norwegian crime novelist and musician. He is also the main vocalist and songwriter for the Norwegian rock band Di Derre. The 2011 film Headhunters is based on Nesbø's novel Hodejegerne. He earned a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics. He has written several novels (The Harry Hole series) include: The Bat (Glass Key Award 1998), Cockroaches, The Redbreast (The Norwegian Booksellers' Prize 2000), Nemesis (Nominated- Edgar Award 2010), The Devil's Star, The Redeemer, The Snowman (The Norwegian Booksellers' Prize 2007), The Leopard, Phantom, Police, and The Thirst.
