Ernesto Sirolli was born in Altino, Italy. He is an Italian-American business consultant. He is one of the world's leading consultants on the topic of economic development. He is the Founder of the Sirolli Institute, a non-profit organization and social enterprise since 1995 that teaches community leaders, Governments and Corporations how to establish and maintain Enterprise Facilitation projects in their community. He has worked in Europe, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, South America, Asia and the USA in the field of local Economic Community Development. He received a Laurea di Dottore in Political Science from Rome University in 1976 and a PhD in Local Enterprise Facilitation from Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia in 2004.
