John Andrew Boehner was born in Reading, Ohio, USA. He is an American Republican politician who served as the 53rd Speaker of the United States House of Representatives from 2011 to 2015. He was the U.S. Representative from Ohio's 8th congressional district, serving from 1991 to 2015. He was a member of the Ohio House of Representatives
from the 57th district, serving from 1985-1990. He served as the House Minority Leader from 2007 to 2011, and House Majority Leader from 2006 to 2007. He earned a BA degree in business administration from Xavier University in 1977. After his graduation, he accepted a position with Nucite Sales, a small sales business in the packaging and plastics industry. He joined the board of tobacco company Reynolds American on September 15, 2016. He married Deborah L. Gunlack in 1973. They have two daughters, Lindsay and Tricia.
