Henry Styles Bridges was born in Pembroke, Maine, USA. He was an American politician, editor and teacher. He educated at the University of Maine, Orono. He served as the 63rd Governor of New Hampshire from 1935-1937. He was elected to the United States Senate in 1936, and would serve until his death in 1961. He was the editor of the Granite Monthly Magazine from 1924 until 1926.
