Charles Wesley was born in Epworth, Lincolnshire, England. He was a british leader of the Methodist movement. Charles Wesley is mostly remembered for the over 6,000 hymns he wrote. He ministered for part of his life in The New Room Chapel in Bristol. He was educated at Westminster School and Christ Church, Oxford. After graduating with a Masters' in classical languages and literature, Charles followed his father and brother into the church in 1735.
