Joseph Louis Barrow, best known as Joe Louis, nicknamed the "Brown Bomber" was born in LaFayette, Chambers County, Alabama, USA. He was an American professional boxer who competed from 1934 to 1951. He reigned as the world heavyweight champion from 1937 to 1949, and is considered to be one of the greatest heavyweights of all time. He had 69 professional fights with only three losses. His role in several films include: Spirit of Youth, This Is the Army, The Square Jungle, and The Phynx.
