Frank James "Jim" Sensenbrenner Jr was born in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He is an American Republican politician and lawyer. He was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Wisconsin's 9th congressional district from 1979-2003. He is a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Wisconsin's 5th congressional district since 2003. He is the former Chairman of the House Science and Technology Committee and the former Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. He was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly in 1968 and the Wisconsin State Senate in 1975. He earned a BA degree in Political Science from Stanford University in 1965. He earned a JD degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1968. He married to Cheryl Warren in 1977. They have two sons.
