Jenny Colgan was born in Prestwick, Ayrshire, Scotland. She is a scottish writer of romantic comedy fiction and science-fiction. She writes under her own name and using the pseudonyms Jane Beaton and J. T. Colgan. She studied at Edinburgh University.
