Bodie Thoene was born in Bakersfield, California. She is an American author,journalist,novelist and screenwriter. These best sellers have sold more than 10 million copies and won eight ECPA Gold Medallion Awards. Over 35 million copies of their books have been sold in more than 20 languages. Bodie began her writing career as a teen journalist for her local newspaper. In the 1970s, she also worked as a screenwriter for John Wayne's production company Batjac Productions and co-wrote Fall Guy with Wayne's stunt double Charles H. Roberson. Bodie holds a PhD in creative writing.
