Gina B. Nahai was born in Tehran, Iran. She is an American novelist and professor. She is the author of several novels including Cry of the Peacock, Moonlight on the Avenue of Faith, Sunday's Silence, Caspian Rain, and The Luminous Heart of Jonah S. Her novels have been translated into 18 languages. She holds a B.A. and an M.A. degree in international relations from University of California, Los Angeles and an MFA in creative writing from University of Southern California. She is a professor of creative writing at the University of Southern California.
