Jennifer S. Davis is an American short story writer and professor. She earned a BA degree from the University of Montana and an MFA degree from the University of Alabama. She is an Assistant Professor at Louisiana State University specializing in short fiction. She also serves as the faculty adviser for The New Delta Review and as the co-director for the departmental reading series, Readers & Writers. She has published two collections of short stories, Her Kind of Want (winner of the Iowa Award for Short Fiction) and Our Former Lives in Art. She is the recipient of the Reynold’s Price Short Fiction Award, the Julia Peterkin Award, and a Washington Arts Council Fellowship.
