Jillian Michaels was born in Los Angeles, California, USA. She is an American personal trainer, television personality and author. She studied at California State University, Northridge. She is best known for her appearances on NBC, particularly The Biggest Loser. She is also known for her appearance on the talk show The Doctors. In 2002, she opened the sports medicine facility Sky Sport & Spa in Beverly Hills. As a personal trainer, she uses a blend of strength training techniques with her clients including kickboxing, yoga, Pilates, plyometrics, and weight training. In January 2012, she released a 90-day weight loss program titled "Body Revolution". In 2015, she launched her new infomercial BODYSHRED, a 60-day at-home workout program. She has written several books include: Winning by Losing, Making the Cut, Hot Bod in a Box, Master Your Metabolism (with Mariska van Aalst), The Master Your Metabolism Cookbook, Unlimited: How to Build an Exceptional Life, and Slim for Life.
