Dennis John Kucinich was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He is an American politician. He is a former U.S. Representative from Ohio, serving from 1997 to 2013. He was also a candidate for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States in the 2004 and 2008 Presidential elections. From 1977 to 1979, Kucinich served as the 53rd Mayor of Cleveland, Ohio. In 1973, he graduated from Case Western Reserve University with both a Bachelor and a Master of Arts degree in speech and communication.
