Joseph William Namath, nicknamed "Broadway Joe" was born in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, USA. He is a former American football quarterback and actor. He played college football for the University of Alabama and professional football in the American Football League and National Football League during the 1960s and 1970s. He retired after playing 143 games over 13 years in the AFL and NFL, including playoffs. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1985. His role in several films include: C.C. and Company, Norwood, The Last Rebel, Avalanche Express, and Chattanooga Choo Choo. His role in television include: The Waverly Wonders (sitcom), The Simpsons (sitcom), and Marriage Is Alive and Well (TV movie).
