Giada Pamela De Laurentiis was born in Rome, Italy. She is an Italian-born American chef, writer, and the host of the current Food Network television program Giada at Home. She earned her bachelor's degree in social anthropology from University of California, Los Angeles in 1996. She is the founder of the catering business GDL Foods.
