Jeffrey Katzenberg was born in New York City, USA. He is an American businessman and filmĀ producer. He began his career as an assistant to producer David Picker. He became well known for his tenure as chairman of Walt Disney Studios from 1984 to 1994, during which the studio reinvigorated its live-action and animation divisions, as well as producing some of its biggest hits, including The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and The Lion King. He was a co-founder and CEO of DreamWorks Animation. He has since founded a new media and technology company called WndrCo. He is a longtime supporter of Barack Obama. He married to Marilyn Siegel in 1975. They have twin children, Laura and David.
