Collin Clark Peterson was born in Fargo, North Dakota. He is an American politician. He is the U.S. Representative for Minnesota's 7th congressional district, serving since 1991. He received his B.A. at Minnesota State University Moorhead. He was a member of the Minnesota Senate for the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party from 1977 to 1986, representing a district in northwestern Minnesota.
