Cedric Antonio Kyles better known by the stage name Cedric the Entertainer was born in Jefferson City, Missouri. He is an American actor, comedian, film director, game show host, producer and screenwriter. He is best known for co-starring with Steve Harvey on The WB sitcom The Steve Harvey Show and starring as Eddie in Barbershop and its sequel. He hosted the twelfth season of daytime version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire in the 2013-2014 television season. He made his first TV appearance on It's Showtime at the Apollo. Soon after, he appeared on HBO's Def Comedy Jam and BET's ComicView, which he would later host for the 1993–94 season. He was one of the Grand Prize Winners of the Miller Lite Comedy Search along with his fellow comedian, Bernie Mac. In 1994, Cedric also won the Richard Pryor Comic of the Year Award from BET. He appeared in the 2007 film Code Name: The Cleaner. He then starred in the 2008 films Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins and Street Kings.
