Jane Frances Kaczmarek was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. She is an American actress. She is best known for playing the character of Lois on the television series Malcolm in the Middle from 2000-2006. She majored in theater at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and later attended graduate school at the Yale School of Drama. Her role in several films include: Uncommon Valor, Falling in Love, The Heavenly Kid, D.O.A., Vice Versa, All's Fair, Pleasantville, and CHiPs.
