David Andrew Leo Fincher was born in Denver, Colorado. He is an American director and producer. He was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Director for the romantic fantasy drama The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and the drama The Social Network. For the latter, he won the Golden Globe Award for Best Director and the BAFTA Award for Best Direction. He was employed at Korty Films as a production assistant. He moved up the ranks and became a visual-effects producer and worked on the animated Twice Upon a Time.
