Joseph Isadore Lieberman was born in Stamford, Connecticut, USA. He is an American politician and lawyer. He served as the 21st Attorney General of Connecticut from 1983-1989. He was a United States Senator from Connecticut (1989-2013). He was elected as a "Reform Democrat" in 1970 to the Connecticut State Senate, where he served three terms as Majority Leader. He earned a BA degree in Political Science and Economics from Yale University in 1964. He earned his LLB degree from Yale Law School in 1967. He worked as a lawyer for the New Haven-based law firm Wiggin & Dana LLP. He has written several books include: Child Support in America, In Praise Of Public Life (with Michael D'Orso), Prosperity for America's Families (with Al Gore), An amazing adventure (memoir, with Hadassah Lieberman), and Ticking Time Bomb.
