Emmitt James Smith, III was born in Pensacola, Florida, USA. He is an American former college and professional football player who was a running back in the National Football League for fifteen seasons during the 1990s and 2000s. He is the only running back to ever win a Super Bowl championship, the NFL Most Valuable Player award, the NFL rushing crown, and the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player award all in the same season. He is also one of only two non-kickers in NFL history to score more than 1,000 career points. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2010.
