Elizabeth Harrison was born in Athens, Kentucky, USA. She was an American educator and author. She was the founder and first president of what is today National Louis University. During her career, she wrote a number of books, including: A Study of Child Nature, In Storyland, Some Silent Teachers, Misunderstood Children, Montessori and the Kindergarten and The Unseen Side of Child Life.
