Jessica Dawn Lynch was born in Palestine, West Virginia, USA. She is a former United States Army soldier who served in the 2003 invasion of Iraq by U.S. and allied forces. On March 23, 2003, Private First Class Lynch was serving as a unit supply specialist with the 507th Maintenance Company when her convoy was ambushed by Iraqi forces during the Battle of Nasiriyah. She received many medals, including Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and Prisoner of War Medal. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from West Virginia University at Parkersburg in 2011. As of 2015, she works occasionally as a substitute teacher and makes her living as a motivational speaker. Her role in several films include: Virtuous, and Shake Off the World.
