Harry Dean Stanton was born in West Irvine, Kentucky, USA. He is an American actor, guitarist and singer. He studied at the Pasadena Playhouse in Pasadena, California. His role in several films include: Tomahawk Trail, Cool Hand Luke, Kelly's Heroes, Dillinger, The Godfather Part II, Alien, Repo Man, Pretty in Pink, Wild at Heart, The Straight Story, and Inland Empire. In the late 2000s, he played a regular role in the HBO television series Big Love.
