George Robert Stephanopoulos was born in Fall River, Massachusetts, USA. He is an American journalist and political advisor for the Democratic party. He is the Chief Anchor and the Chief Political Correspondent for ABC News, a co-anchor of Good Morning America, and the host of ABC's Sunday Morning This Week. He served as a Communications Director for the 1992 U.S. Presidential Campaign of Bill Clinton, subsequently becoming White House Communications Director, then Senior Advisor for Policy and Strategy before departing in December 1996. He received a B.A. degree in Political Science from Columbia University, New York, in 1982. He earned a M.A. degree in Theology from Balliol College, Oxford University, in 1984.
