I’m pretty social so it’s hard for me to find solitude, but I need to have solitude to write.
Catie Curtis Quotes
I just always want a new producer. I'm going to have a new producer on the next one. Because I'm the same person, and I feel like, I know I'm going to bring to it a certain sensibility that's me, and I want to have something different coming out on each album.

Catie Curtis was raised in Saco, Maine. She is an American singer-songwriter working primarily in the folk rock idiom. Her most recent recording, Flying Dream, was released in 2014. She graduated from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island with a degree in history and moved to Boston, Massachusetts, where she began working the folk rock circuit. Her discography now runs to thirteen albums, including the highly regarded A Crash Course in Roses. Catie, a staple of modern folk music since the ‘90s, comes to Flying Dream from a new perspective. The reflective new album is Catie’s first independent release in her 20 years as a musician, and it comes on the heels of a split from her partner of 17 years. With the new album Catie collaborated with Sugarland co-founder Kristen Hall, who co-wrote and produced several of the tracks on the album, including “When You Find Love.”
