About
John Philippe Rushton was born in Bournemouth, England. He was a British-born Canadian psychologist. He served as a psychology professor at the University of Western Ontario. His book Race, Evolution, and Behavior is about the application of r/K selection theory to humans. He earned a B.Sc. degree in psychology from Birkbeck College at the University of London in 1970. In 1973, he received his Ph.D. from the London School of Economics for work on altruism in children. He continued his work at the University of Oxford until 1974. He taught at York University in Canada from 1974–1976 and the University of Toronto until 1977. He received a D.Sc. from the University of London in 1992.
