John Marston was an English poet and playwright during the late Elizabethan and Jacobean periods. He earned a BA degree from Brasenose College, Oxford University in 1594. He wrote several poems include: The Metamorphosis of Pigmalion's Image and Certaine Satyres, and The Scourge of Villanie. He wrote several plays include: Jack Drum's Entertainment, Antonio and Mellida, Antonio's Revenge, What You Will, The Malcontent, The Dutch Courtesan, Parasitaster, or The Fawn, The Wonder of Women or The Tragedy of Sophonisba, and The Entertainment at Ashby.
