Alan Minter is a retired English professional boxer and a former World Middleweight Champion. Minter was the 1971 ABA Middleweight Champion. He won the bronze medal at the 1972 Munich Olympic Games. Soon after, Minter began his career in London on Halloween night of the same year by knocking out Maurice Thomas in six rounds.
