Errol Mark Morris was born in Hewlett, New York, USA. He is an American documentary film director. In 2003, his film The Fog of War: Eleven Lessons from the Life of Robert S. McNamara won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. He graduated in 1969 with a B.A. in history. His several films include: Gates of Heaven, Vernon, Florida, The Thin Blue Line, The Dark Wind, Fast, Cheap & Out of Control, Standard Operating Procedure, Tabloid, and The Unknown Known.
