Joel Gordon Hodgson was born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, USA. He is an American TV actor, comedian and screenwriter. He is best known for creating Mystery Science Theater 3000 (also writer) and starring in it as the character Joel Robinson. In 1986 he co-wrote an HBO special with Jerry Seinfeld. His role in television include: The TV Wheel, Cartoon Dump (TV series, only voice), Cinematic Titanic (also writer), and Other Space (TV series).
