I love working with male actors, and I think there’s a tendency to write really interesting characters that would work solely alongside men where they would be in a man’s world and have to deal with that, and it creates a lot of interesting storylines. For me, it’s kind of circumstantial, but I definitely enjoy it.

She is an American actress, known for her roles as Zoey Bartlet, the youngest daughter of President Josiah Bartlet, on the NBC television series The West Wing; Peggy Olson, secretary-turned-copywriter on the AMC series, Mad Men, which earned her six Emmy Awards nominations and one Golden Globe nomination; and Det. Robin Griffin in the BBC miniseries Top of the Lake, the last of which won her a Golden Globe and Satellite Awards for Best Actress in a Miniseries and/or TV film.
