John Royce Mathis (Johnny Mathis) was born in Gilmer, Texas, USA. He is an American singer. He studied at San Francisco State College. Starting his career with singles of standard music, he became highly popular as an album artist, with several dozen of his albums achieving gold or platinum status and 73 making the Billboard charts to date. He has also recorded six albums of Christmas music. His singles list shown below: "Wonderful! Wonderful!", "It's Not For Me To Say", "Gina", "What Will My Mary Say", "When a Child Is Born", "Chances Are", "The Twelfth of Never", "Wild Is the Wind", "A Certain Smile", and "Misty".
