Ellen Anna Muth was born in Milford, Connecticut, USA. She is an American actress, known for her role as George Lass in Showtime's series Dead Like Me. Her first major role was in the 1995 film Dolores Claiborne. She followed that with a role in the eighth season premiere of Law & Order. Muth's appearance as the daughter in the 1999 film The Young Girl and the Monsoon, she won the American Film Institute Best Actress Award for this film. She appeared in Jack 'n' Jill, a 2007 MFA thesis film. In 2012 Muth returned to the big screen in the romantic comedy Margarine Wars alongside Robert Loggia and Doris Roberts.
