Chris Cornell was born in Seattle, Washington. He is an American guitarist, singer and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist, primary songwriter and rhythm guitarist for Seattle rock band Soundgarden and as former lead vocalist and songwriter for the supergroup Audioslave. He has released three solo studio albums, Euphoria Morning, Carry On, Scream, and live album Songbook. He received a Golden Globe nomination for his song "The Keeper" which appeared in the movie Machine Gun Preacher and co-wrote and performed the theme song to the James Bond film Casino Royale, "You Know My Name."
