Howard Michael "Howie" Mandel was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He is a Canadian comedian, actor, TV producer and game show host. He is well known as host of the NBC game show Deal or No Deal. He was best known for his role as rowdy ER intern Dr. Wayne Fiscus on the NBC medical drama St. Elsewhere. He is also well known for being the creator and star of the children's cartoon Bobby's World. He became a judge on NBC's America's Got Talent, in the fifth season of the reality talent contest. He was a stand-up comedian at Yuk Yuk's in Toronto. A producer for the comedic game show Make Me Laugh saw him and booked Mandel for several appearances during the show's run in 1979. His role in several films include: Gremlins(voice), Gas, A Fine Mess, Walk Like a Man, Little Monsters, Gremlins 2(voice), David Copperfield, The Tangerine Bear(voice), Tribulation, and Crown Heights.
