Joseph Manchin III (Joe Manchin) was born in Farmington, West Virginia, USA. He is an American Democratic politician. He is the United States Senator from West Virginia. He served as the 34th Governor of West Virginia from 2005 to 2010 and the Secretary of State of West Virginia from 2001 to 2005. He was elected to the West Virginia House of Delegates in 1982. He was elected to the West Virginia Senate in 1986, where he served until 1996.
