He majored in Theatre Arts at the State University of New York at New Paltz, and completed his MFA from the Yale School of Drama. His role in several films include: Exterminator 2, The Color of Money, Five Corners, Catchfire, Miller's Crossing, Barton Fink (Won- Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actor), Mac (also director and writer), Quiz Show (Nominated- Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting actor), Illuminata (also director and writer, Nominated- Palme d'Or), The Big Lebowski, Collateral Damage, Secret Window, Transformers, Fading Gigolo (also director and writer), The Ridiculous 6, Hands of Stone, and Going Places (upcoming film, also director and writer).
