Jhonen C. Vasquez was born in San Jose, California, USA. He is an American cartoonist, music video director and comic book writer. He studied at Mt. Pleasant High School, and De Anza College in Cupertino. He is best known for creating the comic book Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, with its spin-off comics Squee! and I Feel Sick, and the Nickelodeon animated series Invader Zim. He directed several music videoes include: Shut Me Up, and White.
