The Patriotic Millionaires campaign, pulled together quickly by the Agenda Project in New York City, just happens to appear on the same day as a new study from the Center for Responsive Politics revealing that half of the members of the House and the Senate are millionaires.

Joe Conason was born in New York City, New York, USA. He is an American journalist, author and political commentator. He is the founder and editor-in-chief of The National Memo. Since 2006, he has served as editor of The Investigative Fund, a nonprofit journalism center. He was formerly the executive editor of the New York Observer. He was also a columnist for Salon.com from 1998-2010. He has written several books include: The hunting of the President (with Gene Lyons), Big lies, The Raw Deal, It Can Happen Here, and Man of the World (Won- New York Press Club's Byline Award). He earned a BA degree in History from Brandeis University in 1975.
