Jerry Vale was born in The Bronx, New York City, New York, USA. He was an American singer. During the 1950s and 1960s, he reached the top of the pop charts with his interpretations of romantic ballads, many of which he sang in Italian. He started singing in high school musicals and at a local nightclub. His renditions of "Volare", "Innamorata, and "Al di là" became classic Italian-American songs.
