Donald James Larsen was born in Michigan City, Indiana. He is an American former Major League Baseball pitcher. During a 15-year MLB career, he pitched from 1953–1967 for seven different teams. He pitched the sixth perfect game in MLB history, doing so in Game 5 of the 1956 World Series. He won the World Series Most Valuable Player Award and Babe Ruth Award in recognition of his 1956 postseason.
