David H. Douglass is an American physicist at the University of Rochester. He received his B.S. in Physics from the University of Maine and his Ph.D. in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He joined the University of Rochester as a Professor of Physics in 1969. He is a Fellow of the American Physical Society and the New York Academy of Sciences. His work has involved experiments in the areas of liquid helium and superconductivity. Significant contributions have also been made in the field of gravitational wave detectors.
