Diane Lane was born in New York City, New York. She is an Oscar-nominated American actress. She made her screen debut in George Roy Hill's 1979 film A Little Romance, starring opposite Sir Laurence Olivier. She has since appeared in several notable films, including the 2002 film Unfaithful, which earned her nominations for an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Lane next appeared in the drama Every Secret Thing and the Pixar animated feature Inside Out.
