Wouter Andre "Wally" De Backer, better known as Gotye was born in Bruges, Belgium. He is a Belgian-born Australian musician and singer-songwriter. He has released several studio albums including Boardface, Like Drawing Blood, and Making Mirrors(won Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album). Gotye's 2011 single "Somebody That I Used to Know" reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. His singles including "Learnalilgivinanlovin", "Hearts a Mess", and "Eyes Wide Open". He has won five ARIA Awards and three Grammy Awards. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne.
